I am a working spiritual medium, and as such I come into contact with some of the more unpleasant aspects of Love on a regular basis. So let us talk about loss, the loss of a loved one to the Spirit world. Naturally, we are all effected by the passing of someone that we loved. Even though I have knowledge of spirit, I am still not exempt from the pain of a seemingly permanent loss. All mediums will tell you that, just in case you were wondering. Everyone can tell you, that there really is no pain like the lonely, gut-wrenching pain of grieving. Bereavement can be agonisingly difficult to bear. It is the main reason people visit mediums, privately or in sanctuaries, to get the chance to reconnect again to the Love that they have lost.

Yet there is an inner knowledge buried deep inside of nearly everyone of us, that our loved ones still live. The knowledge lies deep and rarely comes to the forefront. It is usually after the initial pangs of grieving, that this inner knowing gets reborn within you, as it seems to emerge when we are at our lowest. You see, most people will tell you, that secretly in their hearts they know we all live on. This knowledge comes from the heart, quite separate from the intellect. Should the head question the knowledge of the heart, the head will usually win. In such a battle, reason will triumph over emotion. But I can tell you that the Spirit world can not be reasoned out by the intellect alone, while you are still on earth. This is quite deliberate. So a balance has to be found, a compromise has to be reached.

Take heart in the knowledge, that the light within your heart will show you the way to the realms of Spirit. That is why it is so important that you pay homage to this light. It will show you the way to the place where your loved ones live. All the people that went on to Spirit before you where just as imprisoned within their bodies while on earth as you are now. They came down and learned their lessons. To learn lessons on earth implied hardships and suffering, and when the time came, they passed on to the greater reality. In effect, by vacating their physical shell, they vibrated towards the next density or dimension. So keep in mind, that first and foremost we are all "spiritual beings having a human experience" and not the other way around. There are no exceptions.
