We all seek to know what constitutes life, how it comes into
being, and its fundamental portions that constitute a whole
both individually and universally. Some people realize that
everything is really an outward representation of subjective
forces but desire to know how the spiritual forces of life
make the transformation from the invisible into representations
that comprise God.
In order to begin such an intellectual journey a human being
must first know them self, the vital and fundamental portions
that give them being, the knowledge of the positive and negative
forces of their being, and all the associated ramifications.
A human being must also understand their corporeal existence
and its care, the emotions and their conversion into mental
power, and the evolution of mind to spiritual consciousness.
The creation and ultimate development of the mind for such
a journey can only be found through the evolution of emotions,
desires, inspiration, analytical development etc. and their
respective balance. It is only by applying the outer world
to the inner world that the human mind is able to begin to
conceive the majestic cycle and unique manifestation of God
and the universe. This goes beyond all aspects of the mind
or consciousness being just the behavior of neuronal cells
or the existence of God being just the emotional centers of
the brain satisfying a psychological need. The human mind
is a functional entity devoid of metaphysical or religious
implications relating to the existence of a brain or to the
reception of sensory inputs explaining the mind as being the
activity of large sets of neural cells.
The relationship between the mind and brain could be defined
as two separate entities (consciousness - times two), each
having its own area of shared specialization. This would make
the "what is" mind more than a term to describe
the higher functions of the human brain, or a postulate to
describe relationships with supernatural beings and definitely
more than the accumulated recordings of thoughts or perceptions
of ones own existence.
At this level, spirituality and the subtler aspects of the
mind would come into focus especially when traditional science
and religion begin to transition to the background of the
individual. As scientific and traditional religious activity
subsides, the mind naturally becomes more peaceful and knowledge
is revealed about the true nature of the mind. When all thoughts,
feelings and memories by which we define ourselves begin to
fade, the sense of a separate self begins to surface to reveal
the essence of being and the true nature of self. It is within
this essence of being that God (not a supernatural deity)
is revealed to our consciousness, a consciousness that is
a basic component of reality not something that materializes
from or relies on the physical world of space, time and matter.
Due to the word consciousness being used in so many different
ways - as the word God is used in so many different ways -
confusion often emerges. In the context of this explanation,
consciousness is in reference to the sense or feeling of consciousness
itself where the capacity for inner experiences exist.
This sense of consciousness is one thing all human beings
share, but what goes into an individuals consciousness, the
content (especially content which contains generalizations
that are powerful, precise and explicit), vary in degrees.
Everything we experience is our own personal reality. We think
we are experiencing physical reality but everything out there
is no more than images of reality reconstructed in our minds.
What we perceive and what is actually out there are two very
different things.
All of our experiences are images of reality (not false perceptions
or delusions) created in our minds. False perceptions come
when we confuse our experiences of the world with physical
reality or the thing in itself.
Physics takes us closer toward the ultimate truth of the
physical world but psychology and metaphysics takes us closer
to the ultimate truth of the inner world of consciousness.
The only common element of both the outer world and the inner
world is light…more fundamental than space, time or
matter. We see light but we never know light directly. The
light that hits our eyes is known only through the energy
it releases. This energy is translated into a visual image
within our minds and that image seems to be composed of light
but that light is only a quality of our minds. We never know
the light itself. Light underlies every process in every present
moment.
Any exchange of energy between any two atoms in the universe
involves the exchange of photons. Every interaction in the
material world is determined by light. In this way, light
penetrates and interconnects the known universe. Physical
light has no mass, and is not part of the material world;
the same is true of consciousness. Without light as the source
there would be no experience.
Unfortunately, many people today try to imagine God as being
a supernatural being in some sort of physical context. This
could not be further from the truth. God is nothing within
the context of traditional understanding. In many ways, the
success and divisiveness of traditional religions has prevented
people from thinking more deeply about the true nature of
God. Traditional religions have insured that there is only
the finite without any other possibilities. People are forced
to choose one path, so only one path is taken.
While saying something is continuous or infinite we can accept
our nature as interacting with God. This is really a fundamental
statement that allows everything to be discovered without
the cycle stopping - a cycle that provides a vast energy source
of replenishment for our inner well being. This more permanent
and substantial state of enlightenment enables a better understanding
of God that allows us to interactively experience the things
we create. Touch them, hold them, hear them, see them, smell
them and taste them. Every single thing would be God's energy
continually creating and expanding itself anew, including
the continuum of our own God consciousness.
Once the existence of God is accepted the maintenance of
order in our universe begins to reveal itself in the reality
of our consciousness. One has to be "infinite" in
thinking for knowledge, unity and moral experiences to flourish.
This brings to light the inner workings of our God consciousness
and affirms the impossibility of fear, uncertainty and doubt
of the essence of all. Truth of this nature can provide the
recognition of reality and actuality of a world of peace and
understanding. Acceptance of this truth liberates one from
the slavery of the senses and all suffering comes to an end.
God is truth - there is nothing of anything that is true,
good, beautiful, that is rejected. God is freedom from any
attachment or agitation in terms of passion, aversion or delusion.
The ultimate truth is in being one with God, without blocking
the possibility of realizing this truth.
